James’s classical bass teacher also teaches tenor banjo which can play classical, jazz or blues. I wanted the banjo last year but it didn’t work out. Got a really neat 1920s one from a band out of Austin. The lead player is in his 90s and handed off his banjo to a man in Longview who restores them. It’s really cute. I’ll have a lesson today. Just a way I’m trying to connect with my boys.
