Some of you asked if the literature kids could be given a writing assignment for each of the classic books we read this year. I’m writing the curriculum now and it occurred to me that I am often asked, “How do I grade my child’s writing?” On the writing assignment page that you will have access to with your password membership I have written general guidelines for giving high marks to a child who is younger than high school and a separate set of general guidelines for the high school student. When those pages are complete I can post them here if anyone wants a copy. For now, take a look at this writing rubric and let me know if you have any questions.
