This is my second year to participate in the Ultimate Blog Party. The ladies hosting this party pull together women and men from all over the place to donate a wide range of prizes. Pop over to their place and register to win prizes from $25 to $200. Now, before we get started let me offer you a luscious slice of Chocolate Truffle Cake with Salted Carmel and Raspberry Sauce, complements of Christy Perkins. A link to the recipe is at the bottom of the post.
This is the tastiest chocolate cake I have ever put in my mouth!

You’ll find topics on:
A desire to help our children learn to communicate in ways that draw others toward them, offering them more opportunities to share the gospel is the theme you will see running through my posts. Sometimes I share how we do this by reading good literature and discussing it. Our family has enjoyed this approach for years. We also open up our home to a larger group of friends and call it a literature club. Literature club provides us with tools and opportunities for our children to practice techniques that will lead them to a greater understanding about how to love others through skillful communication that is respectful and effective. A bonus is that the kids read really great classical literature. In this way, their reading comprehension and critical reading skills mature, advancing their ability to have meaningful conversations. Visit these pages to read a more detailed description about literature club and to see how much fun we have. We use a handbook called The LITClub, Transforming Reading Into An Experience as a guide for our literature club.
If you want to try the process out you can get your free eBook Transforming the Hunger Games into an Experience just by signing up to receive my blog posts via email.
